The H Chamber has a very large volume (allowing it be quite sensitive to radon), and is not typically used for residential radon tests. Nevertheless, for specialized tests and surveys it can produce highly accurate results over a brief exposure period. They are extremely durable and rugged.
The large volume H Chamber is not typically used for residential radon testing, but it has excellent sensitivity for short-term deployments and other specialized testing.
The electret is loaded into the top of the chamber, and the four filter holes quickly allow a state of equilibrium to be reached.
H Chambers will not measure radon flux. If you wish to measure radon flux, please check out our Flux Monitors instead.
